Three Colors, Two Ways: Join Our Fall Knit-Along
Hello, knitter! I'm so excited to invite you to our fall knit-along. It's called Three Colors, Two Ways, and you get to choose your project.
Both projects are knit in Ewe So Sporty, and both are built around the fun of choosing and combining three colors. One is a triangle shawl and one is a cozy infinity cowl, so pick whichever sounds like the right fit for you.
Choose your project
The Phoenix Wrap (kit $52)
The Phoenix Wrap is a garter stitch triangle shawl. You knit it with one main color throughout and a different color on each wing, and finish the edges with a simple applied i-cord. The stitches are simple, so the colors take center stage.
- Skill level: Level 2, Finding Your Rhythm. If you've finished a few hats or cowls and can read your knitting, you're ready.
- Colors: 13 colorways that I designed as a jumping off point, or choose your own.
- You'll need: a US 9 (5.5 mm) 24" circular needle and a tapestry needle.
- Finished size: 84" wingspan and 16" at the tallest point.
- Yarn: 4 skeins of Ewe So Sporty, 2 in the main color and 1 each in the two wing colors.
The Color Theory Cowl (kit $83)
The Color Theory Cowl is worked in allover seed stitch with two strands of Ewe So Sporty held together. As you knit, you swap out one strand at a time, so each color melts into the next for a soft ombre effect. The stitch stays the same from start to finish, which makes it a relaxing, rhythmic knit.
- Skill level: Level 1, First Stitches. If you can knit and purl, you have what you need.
- Colors: 13 color combos, each one put together to blend from shade to shade.
- You'll need: US 11 (8 mm) knitting needles and a yarn needle.
- Finished size: 10" wide and 44" around, infinity scarf length.
- Yarn: 6 skeins of Ewe So Sporty, 2 skeins each of 3 colors.

Not sure which one to pick?
Here's a quick way to think about it. If you'd like the simplest stitch pattern and a project with an ombre look, the Color Theory Cowl is a lovely choice. If you've finished a few projects and want a larger piece to wrap up in, with a different color on each wing, the Phoenix Wrap is a great fit. Both are about enjoying your colors, and neither is difficult.
Want to use yarn you already have, or pick your own shades? That works too. For the Phoenix Wrap you need 4 skeins of Ewe So Sporty (2 in the main color and 1 each in two wing colors), and for the Color Theory Cowl you need 3 shades, 2 skeins each.

Questions
Do I need a kit to join? No. The kits take the guesswork out of choosing colors and amounts, but you're welcome to join with your own Ewe So Sporty or the yarn and colors of your choice.
Is the Phoenix Wrap pattern available separately? Yes, the Phoenix Wrap pattern is free on its pattern page, and a printed copy is included with the kit.
I can't decide on colors! Email me at hello@eweewe.com before you order and I'll help you choose.
I can't wait to see which one you choose!
Happy knitting,
💗 Heather
