Designer Meet & Greet: Kim of Indigo Knits
Kim Paquette joins to share her newest design, the Mirabelle Cardgian!
Knit in Ewe So Sporty merino from Ewe Ewe Yarns, this gorgeous sweater is mostly garter stitch and features a beautiful stitch motif on the sleeves.
From the designer –
Mirabelle is a slouchy, cozy, and oh-so-cute cardigan featuring the perfect combination of simple garter stitch and beautiful sleeve detailing. Fun to knit and easy to wear, this FO is bound to be a wardrobe staple AND the subtle star of any outfit. The delicious texture on the sleeves reminds me of juicy, fresh plums!
The Mirabelle Cardigan is begun from the bottom hem and knit flat in one piece. V-neck decreases begin, and it is split into 3 pieces for the front right, front left, and back. Each of these pieces are worked separately up to the shoulders, and then they are joined at the shoulders with the 3-Needle Bind Off. The button band is picked up and worked in 2x2 ribbing. Sleeves are picked up along the armholes and worked in the round to the cuff.
