Recommended Fit: 2-3” (5-7.5 cm) negative ease
Ornament: 2” (5 cm) wide; 6” (15 cm) long including pom pom
Yarn: Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted yarn or Heather's Heathers, 95 yards per 50g skein,
100% merino wool yarn, #4 worsted weight
Color A: 1 skein (90 Vanilla)
Color B: 1 skein (50 Pistachio)
Color C: 1 skein (20 Red Poppy)
Color D: 1 skein (05 Cotton Candy)
Needles: US 8 (5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needles
US 8 (5 mm) set of 4 DPNs
Supplies: Stitch marker, darning needle, 2 and 3½” (50 and 89 mm) pom pom makers, crochet hook size J/10.
Gauge: 18 sts to 4” (10 cm) in st st after blocking.

Made this beanie for my 5-year-old grandson in red & blue. It knit up quickly, and was fun to make. It is nice and stretchy so I’m sure he can wear it until he’s old enough to pooh-pooh Gramma’s handmade stuff. ;) I’m sure I’ll be making this again.

I’ve already made the hat and it took me about two days. The yarn was wonderful. The stitch definition was great. It’s a great looking hat and the pom-poms just makes it. Can’t wait to give it to my granddaughter.
