A headband meets a hat and they come together to be the Blustery Beanie!
Designed with a wide garter stitch brim that tapers to the back of the head, this hat will keep your ears warm with less bulk. Knit with 2 strands of Baa Baa Bulky yarn held together for a quick and colorful project!
The Blustery Beanie is worked from the brim to the crown, seamlessly. The brim is worked back and forth in garter stitch before joining in the round to work the top of the hat. Fun and fast!

The beanie pattern was well written and easy to follow. It can be made of one color if yarn or it’s easy enough to use several colors making a striped beanie. There are 4 different sizes in the instructions so it can be made to fit anyone.
It’s a great pattern to have in your list of hats.
Love the pattern, easy to follow and lots of various stitches. Can put together as a blanket or make them from cotton for wash cloths or dish cloths, give them as gifts. Thanks for the free pattern!
The directions for the cable section were impossible to follow. I tried numerous times interpreting them, and I was so frustrated I almost ripped the whole thing apart and was going to look for another pattern when I found a video online. The directions and visual allowed me to complete it.

Super quick (3 hours) and plenty left over for a pompom. Directions are super easy and the brimless back is genius!!! I used Koigu Othello. It is so cozy and warm. Bring on the snow!!

Have not made this yet but it looks like the perfect hat. Love the way the brim tapers in the back so my puffy parka collar does not get in the way. Love that it’s a cozy fit that will not squish my ears. Love that it’s plain enough that I can easily add embellishments. Like I said…perfect hat.
