Two spooky Halloween hats in one knitting pattern. Knit a row of friendly ghosts or a web of black widow spiders, or cast on both. Each beanie is worked in the round in two colors of Wooly Worsted and finished with a big, squishy pom pom.
This is a two-color stranded colorwork (fair isle) hat in worsted weight, so it knits up quickly and uses just three skeins. It's a fun project to have on your needles as October gets closer.

What you'll need
- Yarn: Ewe Ewe Yarns Wooly Worsted (95 yards per skein), 100% superwash merino
- 👻 Ghosts: Color A – 2 skeins 99 Black Licorice; Color B – 1 skein 90 Vanilla
- 🕷️ Spiders: Color A – 1 skein 99 Black Licorice; Color B – 2 skeins 90 Vanilla
- Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) 16" circular and US 7 (4.5 mm) double-pointed needles
- Supplies: Stitch marker, darning needle, 3" pom pom maker
- Gauge: 20 sts = 4" in stockinette stitch, after blocking

- Finished measurements: 21–22" around, 11" tall

The yarn is wonderful and customer service is top notch.
There will be knots in some skeins which is normal. I don't know if this will pill or not until it's knit into something but it's the nature of Merino to do so but that doesn't bother me. I only needed 3 skeins but the price was so good that I bought 5. It's super soft like you would expect and the proper thickness for a fingering sock weight. I split the skeins into (6) 56 to 58 gram skeins and dyed up 5. They took the dye nicely and I am pleased with my results. My yarn was packaged well/nicely and shipped VERY quickly and arrived at my doorstep safe and sound. I would purchase this again.
