Color 05 Cotton Candy

Moody, heathered depth meets our signature merino squish. ☁️🍂

There is a beautiful, quiet comfort in watching a heathered fabric grow on your circular needles. It’s the subtle, shifting dance of color that gives classic sweaters, warm beanies, and cozy cowls a sophisticated, lived-in feel.

To create Heather’s Heathers, we took 10 of our most beloved classic Wooly Worsted yarn colors and blended a soft touch of silver and charcoal directly into the spin. The result is a gorgeous, moody collection of multi-toned shades that add rich visual texture to every single row.

Because it is built on the exact same foundation as our signature worsted line, it features our high-twist, 3-ply construction. That means you don't have to sacrifice a thing—you still get the same springy bounce, excellent stitch definition, and split-free knitting experience you love, now with an added layer of cozy heathered depth.

The Ultimate Colorwork Shortcut

My favorite trick as a designer? Pair any heathered shade directly with its original solid Wooly Worsted counterpart. Because the color properties match perfectly, they create a flawless, tone-on-tone "winning color combination" in stripes, mosaic colorwork, or textured slip-stitches without any of the color-matching guesswork.

Spun from premium Australian merino wool and dyed in Italy, luxury doesn’t mean high-maintenance rules here. Heather's Heathers is 100% superwash, so it safely goes right into the regular family wash in cool water and can tumble dry on low. It blooms beautifully after blocking, staying plush, springy, and blissfully soft against bare skin wash after wash. Skip the winding fatigue, choose your dream tones, and settle into a relaxing evening of pure stitching joy.

Questions you might have

What makes Heather's Heathers different from Wooly Worsted?

I took 10 of our most-loved Wooly Worsted colors and blended a touch of silver and charcoal into the spin. It has the same worsted weight, gauge, and 3-ply construction as Wooly Worsted, so the two work together. Pairing a heather with its matching Wooly Worsted solid is an easy way to get a tone-on-tone combination.

What is it made of?

It's 100% fine superwash merino wool from Australia, spun and dyed at a mill in Italy to my specifications. The mill doesn't make this yarn for any other brand. It comes in 10 heathered shades.

Will it pill?

The three plies are spun with a high twist to keep the fibers clinging to each other, which helps prevent the loose ends that can pill. The yarn is soft, so some pilling may occur, and it only gets softer with time and love.

How do I care for it?

My main recommendation is to soak your finished project in Soak Wash or another wool wash and block it, because blocking is where the stitches bloom. Heather's Heathers is also machine washable (inside out in cool water) and can tumble dry low, so everyday care is easy.

How much yarn do I need?

Each pattern page lists the yarn amounts. I'm always happy to help calculate yardage, so email hello@eweewe.com with your project and I'll help. If you're between amounts, it's better to order a little extra. Dye lots vary from batch to batch, and I can't replace a specific lot once it has sold out.

Can I use Heather's Heathers in a pattern I found?

Yes! I'm happy to help you substitute Ewe Ewe yarns into another pattern. Email me the pattern and I'll help you work it out. For comparing gauge, Heather's Heathers is 5 stitches to 1" on a size US 8 (5 mm) needle, with 95 yards per 50g skein.

Will the color look like the photo?

Screens vary, so a color can look a little different in person. If you're unsure about a shade, email me before you order and I'll help you choose.

How soon will my order ship, and what does it cost?

I pack and ship orders within one business day, six days a week including Saturday mornings. They go out by USPS Ground Advantage from Oceanside, California, so delivery time depends on USPS and where you live. Shipping is free on US orders over $75 and $5 on smaller US orders, and you'll get a tracking email when your order is on its way.

Can I return my yarn?

Unused items in their original condition can be returned within 30 days of receiving them. Email hello@eweewe.com with your name and order number and I'll take care of you. If something arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, let me know right away and I'll make it right.
