Mitt circumference measured above the thumb: 6.25 (8)” (16 (20.5) cm) after seaming
Length including cuff: 9½ (11)” (24 (28) cm) long
Yarn: Ewe Ewe Yarns, Baa Baa Bulky, 132 yards per 100g skein,
100% merino wool yarn, #5 bulky weight
1 skein or approximately 95 (132) yards
Needles: US 10 (6 mm) knitting needles
Supplies: 2 stitch markers, smooth waste yarn for holding sts, tapestry needle, clip ring stitch marker (optional), row counter (optional)
Gauge: 14 sts to 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch worked flat after blocking.

What's in the kit?
You'll get 1 skein of Baa Baa Bulky in the color you choose, which is enough for either size. The kit is yarn only. Needles (US 10), 2 stitch markers, smooth waste yarn, and a tapestry needle aren't included.

I've never knit in the round. Is this kit right for me?
Yes. This is a Level 1 project, and these mittens are knit flat and then seamed, so you can skip knitting in the round. If you get stuck, our Knitting Knowledge tutorials and the Secret Society of Knitters community are here to help, or you can email me.
Which size should I knit?
The pattern comes in two sizes. Choose by the mitt circumference listed above (6.25” or 8” after seaming), and if you're unsure, email me and I'll help you pick.
Will the color look like the photo?
Screens vary, so a color can look a little different in person. If you're unsure about a shade, email me before you order and I'll help you choose.
Should I order extra yarn?
The kit has the amount of yarn the pattern calls for. If you'd like to make more than one pair, it's better to order extra now. Dye lots vary from batch to batch, and I can't always match a specific lot later.
How do I care for my finished mittens?
Easy! Our yarn is superwash merino, so you can machine wash your mittens inside out in cool water and tumble dry on low. All of our yarns are 100% fine superwash merino wool from Australia, spun and dyed in Italy.
Do I need to wind the yarn before I knit?
Nope! All the yarn in your kit comes as center-pull skeins, so you can start knitting right away.
How soon will my order ship, and what does it cost?
I pack and ship orders within one business day, six days a week including Saturday mornings. They go out by USPS Ground Advantage from Oceanside, California, so delivery time depends on USPS and where you live. Shipping is free on US orders over $75 and $5 on smaller US orders, and you'll get a tracking email when your order is on its way.
Can I return my yarn?
Unused items in their original condition can be returned within 30 days of receiving them. Email hello@eweewe.com with your name and order number and I'll take care of you. If something arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, let me know right away and I'll make it right.

I've been using this yarn to make Christmas (and Chanukah!) sweaters for relatives for years, and it's really perfect. The colors pop, and the fact that it can be machine washed makes life easy on the people I'm gifting them too.
This is my second color combination, so now I need to decide which one to start for the KAL. I have a DIY kit that is all greens, plus the one I ordered as a kit (Vintage). I will probably start with the Vintage.
The uniques twist to Ewe Ewe yarns results in a very warm, squishy texture to garments. It is a very “comfortable” yarn to knit with..doesn’t split, and slides through the fingers nicely.
I have been knitting for over 60 years and am impressed with the quality of this yarn. It is a delight to work with and to knit quality items for gifts
