As you can see, the designer is wearing Pistachio as the main color with Chocolate as the stripes. There are so many fun idea with Ewe So Sporty yarn coming in 25 colors... all of which are in stock and ready to ship in time for our start date!

Tips on Choosing Your Sweater Color

When choosing a new sweater color, I like to look at the sweaters or the favorite shirts I have in this area.

Then I think about what I want to wear this spring and summer. 

Do I want to have more of the same? Do I want to add a color that's missing? Do I want to replace something that's worn out? Do I just really love Aquamarine and want a new sweater in that?!

These are the questions you should consider when looking at the yarn colors. 

Ewe So Sporty yarn in 25 colors

Now that we've narrowed down some colors, we need to look at the sizes. This sweater has a relaxed fit that is oversized in the body which allows the shoulders to drape over your body creating sleeves.

That means we want the sweater to be about 5" to 10" larger than our actual bust measurement. 

For example, I measure about 43" around at the bust with my bra on so I will be knitting the 4th size at 48". I'll need 9 skeins of the main color and 1 skein of the stripe color.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9, 10)

Finished Body Circumference: 36.25 (40, 44.25, 48, 51.75) (56, 60.25, 64, 67.75, 72)”/ 92 (102, 112, 122, 131) (142, 153, 163, 172, 183) cm

Picking Your Size: Choose a size that is approx 5-10”/13-25 cm larger than your actual bust measurement, depending on your desired fit. Shown in size 2 (40”/102 cm), being worn with approx 7”/18 cm of positive ease at the bust. 

Yarn: Sport-weight yarn, shown in Ewe So Sporty by Ewe Ewe Yarns (100% Superwash Merino; 50g = 145 yds), broken down as follows:

Main Color (MC): 6 (7, 8, 9, 9) (10, 11, 12, 13, 14) skeins, shown in color Pistachio, 850 (950, 1075, 1200, 1300) (1425, 1550, 1675, 1775, 1950) yards.*

Contrasting Color (CC): 1 skein, shown in color Chocolate, 75 (80, 90, 95, 105) (115, 120, 130, 135, 145) yards.

Gauge: 22 sts & 30 rnds = 4”/10 cm in St st in the rnd on body needle after blocking.

*If you plan on making your garment longer you will need extra MC yardage.
