Choosing the Perfect Sock Yarn
For these socks, we recommend our Fluffy Fingering yarn. It’s a 100% merino wool that is incredibly soft against the skin but has the stitch definition needed to make those lace hearts really pop.
Yarn Tip: To get the best results, look for a solid or semi-solid color. This ensures the lace motif doesn't get "lost" in a busy variegated yarn. (I personally love them in Berry or Cotton Candy for that classic Valentine look!)
Getting the Right Fit
Lace knitting is most beautiful when it’s slightly stretched. The Ewe Heart Socks are designed with about 1 inch of negative ease.
How to measure your foot for hand-knit socks:

Circumference: Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your foot (the ball of your foot) while standing.

Length: Place the tape at the back of your heel and measure to the tip of your longest toe.
