One of the first patterns I ever designed was the leaf stitch motif in this block – and the only reason I had the confidence to start writing patterns is because Heather supported me! I am excited to redesign this meditative combination of twisted, garter and stockinette stitches for Heather’s anniversary blanket!

Finished size: 14" x 14" (35.5 x 35.5 cm) after light blocking
Yarn: Ewe Ewe Yarns, Wooly Worsted, 95 yards per 50g skein, 100% merino wool superwash yarn, #4 worsted weight
Color B - 2 skeins (53 Forest Fern)

Needles: US 8 (5 mm) knitting needles
Supplies: Tapestry needle, row counter (optional)
Gauge: 16 sts to 4" (10 cm) in garter stitch worked flat, after blocking.
Notes: You may wish to clip a locking marker to the RS of the project to differentiate the RS from the WS as you knit.
Each odd-numbered row is a RS row and each even-numbered row is a WS row.

This pattern is PeRfEcT! It is easy, and a classic knit hat! I will be making sevveral to donate to the local grade school to keep little heads warm!

Loved the simplicity of the pattern. Great for a TV knit project. The resulting fabric was a soft but thick. Definitely will repeat this project since depending on the color works for both men and women.

Just starting the cable cast on, but I can’t wait to get knitting the actual scarf. It is different from other scarves where the pocket is formed by sewing ends up the sides.
